Clip: Season 1 | 1m 19s | Video has closed captioning.
Not only is this the exact geographical center of San Diego County, this community (formerly Nuevo) was named to capitalize on the wildly popular novel Ramona, written in 1884 to call attention to the plight of the American Indian. Once known as "The Turkey Capital", for the thousands of turkeys raised and shipped from here, Ramona also boasted the highest voter turnout in California for years!
