About the Show
Country music legend Trace Adkins joins the U.S. Army Field Band to host “Salute to Service 2025: A Veterans Day Celebration.” This inspiring tribute features unforgettable musical performances by opera superstar Angel Blue, Grammy winning jazz vocalist Kurt Elling, and Trace Adkins himself.
Through powerful music and heartfelt storytelling, the program honors the courage and sacrifice of our nation’s veterans.
We will meet remarkable service members including World War II veteran John Gleeson who served in the Army Air Corps and who still flies planes today at age 101. We will hear the story of the Corley brothers, triplets who all followed their father’s lead into the Army along with their mother who enlisted a year after they joined the service. We travel to Colorado to meet Special Forces veterans at the Warrior Mission Ranch and will get to know members of the famed Blue Angels.
We will hear rousing renditions of God Bless America and The Battle Hymn of the Republic with Angel Blue and the US Army Field Band. Kurt Elling joins the US Army Jazz Ambassadors in the standards I Like the Sunrise, and Long as Your Living, and Trace Adkins himself performs his hits Still a Soldier and Somewhere in America alongside the Six String Soldiers.
Join us for this moving musical celebration as we come together to express our gratitude to those who have worn the uniform in service to us all.
