There are over 5,800 homes here.
RICARDO: Wow.
LAUREN: Yeah, Burke had a really big boom in the '70s.
The first neighbors in Burke Centre moved in in 1977 and this house was actually built in 1978.
JEN: Can you tell me a little bit more about what's nearby?
LAUREN: Yeah, one really unique thing about Burke Centre is the accessibility of it.
There are so many trails and there's also the Burke Centre VRE right around the corner.
RICARDO: Before we go inside, is there anything that we should be on the lookout for?
LAUREN: I want you guys to spend a moment on the deck outside.
You'll really feel immersed in nature.
RICARDO: Well, all that sounds fantastic.
I'm ready to go take a look at the house.
LAUREN: Well, I'll meet you outside for the game.
JEN: All right.
RICARDO: Thank you.
LAUREN: All right.
JEN: Thanks.
Oh.
RICARDO: Oh.
JEN: Wow.
RICARDO: Well, this is cozy.
Sort of a 70s floor plan and classic layout.
JEN: Yeah, but Lauren was right.
It still feels very modern and fresh.
RICARDO: Mm-hmm.
JEN: This is great.
RICARDO: Oh, it's got a lot of natural light in here.
JEN: Yeah, it's kind of a multi-purpose room right now.
RICARDO: Mm-hmm.
JEN: So it's serving as a sitting room but also as an office.
It feels like there's a lot of options for this space.
RICARDO: Right.
And this crown molding is a nice touch.
Looks like it goes all throughout.
JEN: Yeah, I really like the decorative touch of the corner block.
It's something that you don't really typically see these days.
RICARDO: Right.
And you can close these double doors here for a little privacy too if you like.
JEN: Yeah.
What a nice transition into this space.
RICARDO: Oh, yeah.
This is nice and open.
JEN: There's a lot of room for relaxing in here.
I love the fireplace.
And the whitewash gives it kind of a fresh feeling.
I have to say, though.
I'm a little distracted and my eyes are turned toward these double doors.
(laughs).
RICARDO: After you.
After you.
JEN: Okay, thanks.
Ah.
Beautiful.
My gosh.
Look at the trellis.
RICARDO: Oh.
JEN: And seating for about 10-15 people out here.
RICARDO: Mm-hmm.
If I was living here, I'd be grilling all the time.
JEN: The landscaping is also beautiful.
This is a perfect spot for kids and dogs.
RICARDO: Maybe a little meditation.
JEN: Oh okay, let's just give it a second.
RICARDO: But we got to look at the rest of the house.
JEN: Nah, I'm-a-stay right here.
So here we are in the kitchen.
RICARDO: Okay, yeah, the color scheme looks great.
I think these counters and this backsplash are a lovely way to unify the entire space.
JEN: Absolutely.
I also think the black hardware really makes the colors stand out.
RICARDO: Mm.
JEN: I'm also a big fan of a lazy Susan.
I grew up with a lazy Susan.
RICARDO: Oh, yeah.
JEN: We did not have a pantry when I was younger and this is really where everything from soup to cereal was stored.
RICARDO: Who doesn't love soup?
JEN: Why don't we see what's down here?
I'm seeing some blue.
RICARDO: Yeah.
JEN: Okay, this is beautiful.
RICARDO: It's so tasteful.
JEN: Yeah, I really like this light fixture and the blue is beautiful.
RICARDO: Mm-hmm, the blue.
JEN: I also wanted to point out the chair rail here which is a great way to protect your beautiful paint.
RICARDO: You know what?
We should look upstairs.
JEN: Okay.
Why don't we head right?
RICARDO: Oh.
It's very bright.
These windows.
JEN: They are amazing.
Why don't we see what we have back here?
RICARDO: Let's go.
JEN: Okay.
RICARDO: Nice storage space.
JEN: Yes.
Lovely.
Oh, full bathroom.
RICARDO: Oh okay, this is nice, this is updated.
JEN: Yeah, it has another one of those beautiful windows.
RICARDO: This tile work is really pretty.
This is not 1970s.
JEN: Really nice.
RICARDO: All right.
What else is in here?
What do you think is in this room over here?
JEN: I cannot even guess.
Let's see.
RICARDO: Hello walk-in.
JEN: Oh, wow.
This is great.
What a surprise in this room.
RICARDO: Yeah, I feel like you could continue to use it as a closet space but you could also use it as an extra bedroom.
You can make it a nursery since you're connected to the primary bedroom.
JEN: Oh yeah, with the double entrances.
RICARDO: Mm-hmm.
JEN: That's a great idea.
I love it.
RICARDO: Let's take a look at what else is up here.
JEN: Okay.
Oh, sweet.
RICARDO: That's a nice bedroom.
JEN: Queen-size bed.
RICARDO: Mm-hmm.
JEN: Very comfortable, welcoming.
RICARDO: Okay, this is even larger than the last bedroom.
JEN: Being able to look out into the backyard is really nice and it has a double door closet which is great for extra storage.
RICARDO: Mm-hmm, I think there's one more room up here.
JEN: Okay, great.
RICARDO: Oh, this is a nice size as well.
JEN: Yeah, this is sweet.
RICARDO: Yeah.
JEN: The natural light is nice.
It's bigger than the last room.
A larger closet.
I really like it up here.
RICARDO: Yeah, I think it's time to meet up with Lauren and play the game.
JEN: All right.
LAUREN: Welcome back.
JEN: Hey.
RICARDO: Thank you.
LAUREN: What did you guys think of house number two?
JEN: I really loved the kitchen.
I thought it was really thoughtfully laid out.
Plenty of storage.
And enough counter space to get the job done.
LAUREN: And kind of a fun modern take on the traditional 70s kitchen.
RICARDO: And Lauren, I want to thank you.
We were able to find a moment of zen on the deck back here.
JEN: There's so much seating.
There's so much room.
This is a really good candidate for an entertaining home.
LAUREN: So, it's a five-bedroom house with two full, two half bath.
3,076 square feet including the basement and it was built in 1978.
Can you guess the list price?
RICARDO: I would say 800,000.
LAUREN: OK. JEN: Mm, I'm going to stay in a similar range, um, and just go a little bit higher with 815,500.
LAUREN: Okay, the actual list price is $889,900.
RICARDO: Oh.
LAUREN: So Jen is closer.
JEN: Yay, I mean... RICARDO: Congratulations.
JEN: Still pretty far away but closer than you.
LAUREN: Yes.
JEN: So.
LAUREN: You guys were fairly close.
In a good range there.
