[laughter] But if you had have been born, I would have really been irritated with you for not.
[laughter] Anyway, I can't blame you, but I could blame your mums and dads and your granddads and your grandmothers and your great-uncles and every-- Anyway, some of these were hits and some weren't.
This is an album track that's kind of become immortalized as a, a hit for the Who.

So it's the only hall, really, that the sound checks are a complete and utter waste of bloody time.

In fact, we played once in Denmark.

And, um, this one is a mini-opera.
It's the very first one we ever did.
And some of you, some of you may not know it.
It's not exactly a hit, but when we played it on "The Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus," which is out there on YouTube, if you haven't seen it, it's got Taj Mahal, Eric Clapton, John Lennon, and Yoko Ono... ...in a bag.
And we played this, and it was with our original lineup, just the four of us-- Roger, me, John Entwistle, and Keith Moon, and we-- [cheering and applause] We did a really good job, and we had a lot of fun, and that night was quite sad for all of us because I think it was one of the last times that Brian Jones ever appeared with the Rolling Stones.
He was in really ---- shape.
And, um, we stayed on.
They were playing till 4:00 in the morning.
And we stayed on and got completely rat-arsed, and in the end, we were the only people left in the audience for the Rolling Stones' performance, so we're good up here, but we're also very good down there.
ROGER: You are brilliant.
PETE: Better than you lot.
[audience shouting] Better than you lot up there as well.
[jeering] Better than all of you lot, we were.
[jeering] And this is called-- You see, I've got them on my side now, Rog.
[jeering] It's a piece of cake.
Um, it's called "A Quick One, While He's Away."
