Whoever stole the rib most probably had a role in the Ryan incident.
(Callum) They could have just seen him in the water and decided to let off the flare.
(Leila) Sure, but more likely, they witnessed him being pushed in, or pushed him in themselves.

On top of theft, we're talking about him being a potential witness to a serious assault, a man pushed off a boat.
A word in Uncle Barry's ear and this all goes away.

(Leila) I arrested him for the theft of Barry's rib.
-You did?
-I didn't think you'd want me to treat him in any way different, sir... (Finn) No, I wouldn't, you're 100% right about that.

He's given me the keys loads of times.
(Marlene) Did he give you the keys last night?
No, I, um...
I got them from Clint's cupboard, at the pub.
Look, I've told yous, I wasn't in the harbor when all this hoo-ha was going on and I don't know nothing about no man overboard business.
(knocking, buzzing) (Callum) Uh, this is for you.

-It's a bit of a coincidence there's counterfeit vodka around and he's got a two-for-one offer on.
(Marlene) Yeah, but Clint will be cashing in -'cause of the festival.
-I haven't heard any complaints about the vodka being served in the Commodore?
-Hm.
-But there wouldn't be, if he was watering it down.
(soft music) ♪ (birds squawking) ♪ Y'all right, mate?
(Finn) That sign... Two-for-one vodka.
How do you make that work, like, business-wise?
Ah, you know how it is, the suppliers have a surplus, make it worth your while, so... (Finn) A local girl was drinking some illegal vodka last night, ended up in hospital, seriously ill, and there may well be more cases.
-Vodka she bought from here?
-No.
But if I find out someone's making it worth your while... (Clint) No, no, no!
Ah, listen, Finn, I didn't mean... (Finn) Clint, if you've been receiving counterfeit vodka, I'll close you down like that, mate.
♪ The supplier's name is Ryan O'Rooney.
(waves whooshing) Thank you.
♪ (sighing) ♪ (Leila) Sir, it's obvious.
The vodka came from Ryan Reilly's boat.
Sam and Shay were on the rib.
One of them talked the other one into stealing the vodka.
It's Ryan we're after.
He's not Ryan Reilly.
He's Ryan O'Rooney.
He gave us a false name.
I've just run a background check.
He has a fairly serious criminal history, including assault and drug supply.
Do we know what Ryan's boat was called?
(Leila) Sam doesn't remember.
We need to ask Shay.

He's a teenager, he's glued to the darn thing.

I kind of told Sam I could get vodka.
You know, like a bottle.
I don't even know why.
I was just trying to show off.
(Finn) Listen, it happens, kid.
I was going to take just the one, but Sam said... "We might as well take a crate."
(Finn) How did Ryan end up in the water?
(Shay) He came up on deck.
I mean, he went ballistic, started to attack Sam, so I pushed him off her.
I had to, he was really going to hurt her.
Do you remember the name of the boat?
Osprey One.
That's really helpful, Shay.
(soft music) ♪ I have a warrant to search the boat.
We just have to find it now.
(Marlene) So, Shay?
We need to decide what action to take.
(Leila) I guess we have no choice but to prosecute him, but it's a shame to tarnish him with a criminal record.
Yeah, Shay is just a wee lad, regardless of who his dad is... Yeah, a big stupid eejit of a wee lad.
But we can't bend the rules for the inspector's son.
Well, over here, we, uh, we don't have to have a one-size-fits-all approach.
And he did save Ryan's life by putting up the flare.
So would you be comfortable about him getting off with an informed warning?
I'd be more than comfortable.

Coastguard has sighted the Osprey One.
