That, of course, is New York City.
This time, right there in Manhattan, we have the group that eventually would go on to back up Dion on tunes like "Donna the Prima Donna," "Runaround Sue," "The Wanderer," and parts of them would later break off with Johnny Maestro and become the Brooklyn Bridge.

You're gonna hear two songs.
First, we go back with the ultimate doo wop standard, the original version.
Remember the '56 version?
"Oh, What a Night," the Dells.
They're the ones who put it out first, and they later rerecorded it in '69, a little more soulful.
These are the Best Intentions.
Wait till you see what's next.

He loves the music of the Righteous Brothers.
He loves all the great doo wop sounds.
In fact, in our last show, we had him with the Duprees performing together.
This time, as he evolves from the fifties into the sixties in this segment of the show, we first take a My Music flashback and remember him when he was just 18 years old and hitting our stage with one of the best love songs of all time.

What's interesting about this next group is that they love R & B doo wop harmony.
In fact, "What's Your Name?"
incredible version, they always sang as their warm-up song.
But as the sixties evolved and those sounds changed, they changed as part of a, kind of a folk pop band, if you will, but the harmonies stayed pure to the original doo wop song.

For years, they were behind Frankie Valli as the Four Seasons.
Now they're out on their own.
They've cut a brand new album, and we've got the premiere for you right here on PBS.
Their versions of "Could It Be I'm Falling in Love" and an eighties song, a Billy Joel song treated in the style of doo wop and the harmonies of great groups like the Four Freshmen and the Skyliners and the Hi-Lo's all mixed together.
